Developmental Specialist
Duties:
Provide specialized early intervention instruction or family
education and training for eligible children and their families
under the New Mexico Family Infant Toddler Program (birth to three
early intervention services). Work as part of a team to support each
child’s family to learn methods to support their child’s development
in the context of their everyday routines and activities.
Requirements:
Education: BA/BS, MA/MS in Special Education, Early Childhood
Education, or related field. Experience working with infants and
toddlers and their families, experience working with children who
have developmental delays or disabilities or special health care
needs, experience providing home-based services.
Occupational Therapist
Duties:
Provide occupational therapy services for eligible children and
their families under the New Mexico Family Infant Toddler Program.
Work as part of a team to support each child’s family to learn
methods to support their child’s development in the context of their
everyday routines and activities.
Requirements:
Licensed or eligible for NM Occupational Therapy license. Experience
working with infants and toddlers and their families, experience
providing home-based services, experience conducting evaluations as
part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience addressing sensory
motor/sensory regulation problems, physical motor problems and
assistive technology preferred.
Physical Therapist
Duties:
Provide physical therapy services for eligible children and their
families under the New Mexico Family Infant Toddler Program. Work as
part of a team to support each child’s family to learn methods to
support their child’s development in the context of their everyday
routines and activities.
Requirements:
Licensed or eligible for NM Physical therapy license. Experience
working with infants and toddlers and their families, experience
providing home-based services, experience conducting evaluations as
part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience addressing sensory
motor/sensory regulation problems, physical motor problems and
assistive technology preferred.
Respite Provider
Duties:
Provide companionship and personal care to infants, toddlers,
children or adults with developmental disabilities, or seniors who
need assistance with daily living activities.
Requirements:
Must be a high school graduate, at least 18 years of age and be able
to pass a fingerprint background check and a reference check. Must
have appropriate training and skills to care for individuals with
special needs or be willing to obtain needed training.
Speech-Language Therapist
Duties:
Provide speech-language therapy services for eligible children and
their families under the New Mexico Family Infant Toddler Program.
Work as part of a team to support each child’s family to learn
methods to support their child’s development in the context of their
everyday routines and activities.
Requirements:
Licensed or eligible for NM Speech-language Pathology License.
Experience working with infants and toddlers and their families,
experience providing home-based services, experience conducting
evaluations as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience
addressing feeding/swallowing problems, oral motor/sensory motor
problems and augmentative communication preferred.
